31 Little Things – 17
Well my project is complete. I wasn’t able to use thae adorable tea set that was in the picture last week. Instead I used 2 of those lanterns I picked up at Rite Aid the other day. I liked them so much, I went back for a few more.
Anyhow, here’s the project. It’s a 3 tiered serving tray. The earthquake the other day tried to thwart my plans for having a new pretty serving tray, but everything is fine with it now.
It’s not exactly what I had in mind, but you wouldn’t believe how hard it was to find the “risers” I had in mind. Either way, I’m still pleased.

When Jess falls asleep during the day, she falls hard. Yesterday I was on the phone with my grandma for a while, and when I came downstairs again, this is what I saw.
I begged her earlier in the day to take a nap so I could take one too. I was just so tired yesterday. She refused to even entertain the idea stating she was NOT tired. Not tired? I should have just forced her to lay down with me. Maybe I wouldn’t have been so cranky last night if I had.
Either way, her sleeping position made me smile, it’s just so odd.

In an effort to bring a bit of spring to our place, I changes out the red globes I had hanging here, and put up these beautiful springy glass lanterns in their place.
Total cost for the 4 of them? $6
Awesome, right? Get to Rite Aid NOW if you want some. They’re half off and won’t be around long.
Now I just need to pick up a pack of those flameless candles to put inside of them.
Oh and after I put them up, Jess tells me, “mom, I really like your designs.” apparently I’m an interior designer in her eyes just because I simply changed out the hanging glass.

This time you get a 2fer.
First up, a giant bubble
Seriously. how awesome is that bubble?
And #2 is the place we had dinner with my in-laws last night
If you ever find yourself in the IE and in need of a delicious steak dinner. This is the place. You just can’t beat the price. I’m talking about a dinner salad, 16 oz. rib eye cooked to order, your choice of potato and a big hunk of garlic bread for $13.50. It was absolutely delicious! Jess and a grilled cheese and not only was is huge, but they made it with garlic bread. So good! It’s absolutely worth every penny and more. Let’s just say we had 4 steak dinners and a child’s meal plus drinks (non-alcoholic) for LESS than $75. Thanks Brandon and Corey for suggesting this place. Can’t wait to eat there again.
