Well, today’s the last day of this photo project. Thanks for following me along on a month long journey to find the simple pleasures in life.

For the final installment, I figured it would be fitting to show you my phone/camera. Without it, there would have been no 31 little things posts daily.

As I was going through things, I found a bag of fabric that I intended to use last year when I was making Jess some new dresses. I never got around to it, but today I put that fabric to use. First thing I did was make Jessalyn a new pillow. She’s started sleeping with one for nap and bed time. I guess that’s just another indicator that she’s growing up.

Then I took a long hard look at “Pilo’s” pillow case and decided it just wouldn’t do. You all remember Pilo from 31 Little Things #6 right? It’s my squishy huggy pillow, the one I hold on to while sleeping. It’s not meant to go under my head as I sleep. It’s an incredibly squishy feather pillow. Also? Jason’s jealous it gets more cuddles than he does, and yet he’ll steal it from me in the night.

Anyhow, the cover was looking quite ratty and faded so I whipped up a new one today.

The fabric has frogs hopping and frogs driving cars and says “Toot toot!” on it. It’s flippin adorable.

This may not look like much to you, but for me it’s HUGE. This is a corner behind our dining room table, and in front of the microwave. There’s been a basket there of stuff that has been waiting for a trip to the Goodwill for months. Heck, I think it’s been there since oh, December?

I’ve been asking Jason to take it for a month now and it just didn’t happen. So I pulled it out and put it in the middle of the room where it couldn’t be ignored or forgotten. It’s now at the goodwill and I can see the floor again!

Caitlin had a dentist appointment to get her crown put on. On our way home, we stopped at Boba Ya! for a refreshing treat. I had a watermelon slushie with boba.

Boba is tapioca pearls which is what you’re seeing on the bottom. The straw with which you drink is insanely large. This was my first boba and I can’t say it’s the best thing ever. I think I might enjoy it more without the boba.
